Quick and easy water terrain!

My friend Chris whipped this together and has a full 6' water feature already for one table. We talked about making a muddy one for the jungle and a winter themed one also!

It is simple and cheap....purchase some caulk from your DIY store....crimp the end flat to help the flow come out thicker and spread out. Make the base, put it down on wax paper or other surface it will not stick to. As it dries, use another color to build the banks on the side. Add other bits like rocks and such. Once it dries, paint it up and add flock! Easy!

Another wave of Warlord arrived!

Got a package last week, had a few goodies in there!

Ho-Ro Tank

French Bus

LMG teams

Extra man for my mortar team.

The new man to complete my light mortar team.

Give you an idea of the size of the bus!

A solid and well cast model, my only complaint some small cracks around the windows.

I was able to use a little putty/paste to clean up the issue in no time.

Finns Wave 2 Arrived!

My second wave of Finns from my Baker Company Kickstarter pledge arrived last week. Been a bit busy so finally had a moment to chat about them! Overall, everything is great, got an extra engineer and was shorted a few Model Chander (the civilian militia) figs and some SMGs was missing, nothing huge or earth shattering. Great stuff to the new items, some things was hit and miss on some figs and some had some rough casting around the bases that required me to do a bit more work than usual. Still, for the price I can't bitch in the least and happy with my choice to back Gav and his company. They have done well despite setbacks on the casting and some sculpting delays, yet as a small company they in my eyes are doing a great job.

My box and packing slip, like a kid I tore right into the box!

Extra rifle squads.

More rifle squads...

My few MC that showed! Don't worry boys more are on the way!

Pile of SMGs!

The work tray! Already down the center the Fins work in between the Germans and French!
I'll do some good shots of my Finns as I paint them up!

Four A Miniatures Shipment

I did my first order with Four A Miniatures about two weeks ago. Great company, they shipped fast and the product quality is outstanding! I picked up just two items that I really wanted including a gift for a friend ALF and the Creature from the Black Lagoon for my horror themed super villain team!

Ocala Garrison gathering July 19th!

Chris and I took a road trip up to Ocala (about 1.5 hours) to bring some Bolt Action gaming to the group. First I took my friend by my office where I worked and down the road to an Army Surplus store (not open when we arrived at 7am) and we walked around outside....

Dalmier Scout car, in pretty bad shape, rust was eating it up and could use some paint to make it look nice at least while it sits out front.

Not sure of the Artillery but cool. My friend took shots of me making like I was shooting it or yelling ease as it was firing!

After being lost, as I forgot the directions and neither of us have a smart phone (yea we are old farts that don't  update to new technology) we find the library where they were to meet and we got inside. We setup the table in record time and was ready to roll!
My friend Chris helping to organize the German players and deploy.

The table....

German players deploying.

Frenchie dice!

German dice!

Everyone in the mist of playing....

More action

Table shot of the French

German artillery!

Scout cars advance from reserve up the road.

R40 flanks down the side of the road.

The French Dragoons storm the other bridge in force.

French Office makes a last stand. Dead pile to the right!

Traffic jam on the bridge!

222 catches the FT17 from behind!

Chris flanks the French lines with his men!

Earlier shot of the Dragoons with the Panhard guarding the rear!

Airstrike on the Dragoons! DAKAKAKAKAKAKAAK!
Dead!

All in all, everyone had a good outing and seemed to have a good time. A few of the guys about half through the game wanted to play on the Slaughterloo game. It looked like a nice game and they seemed to have a good game there as well. We had X-wing later and also some boat game, Dystriopen wars or something like that with steampunk boats blowing up one another.

Blitzkreig Miniatures: Flamingo Tank Review

Got this for my birthday by my friend Chris and wow what a great model! He had bought some of Blitzkreig's vehicles prior but this is my first experience and I have to say it was stellar!

I would recommend Blitzkreig Miniatures to anyone if you are having a problem finding that tank or you want a high quality tank at a reasonable price. The only suck part is shipping overseas for the most part which is a long wait.

Now I just need it to stop being HUMID and RAINING every flipping day so I can primer!

The tank. Solid kit with the tracks and body as one part. Turret, barrel, two flamethrower turrets and a hatch top. Not many parts. My friend and I had ours together in an hour roughly.

Shot of the parts.

The only flash on the model really. Just above the tracks.

All parts together.

July 9th Bolt Action Boot Camp Night!

The first Boot Camp for basic training for Bolt Action was a success, we had a total of 7 attendees with some people dropping by even though they could not make the event. We had two great games of 2vs2 players with 500 points for each player. This played an average game but also allowed the players to get to know one another and socialize more than just throw dice and learn together.

We rolled in setup at 6:30 and we didn't leave until after 11pm! Wow! I was tired again after a long day at work and gaming all night. Everyone seemed to have a good time and looking forward to two weeks again!
