Thunder Boxes HO!

Finished the 4 Thunder Boxes yesterday! Very quick and easy to build. Took me a few hours but I also goofed off a bit off and on....

The four horsemen!

Each door has their own symbol....Heart and Star

Diamond and Moon!

Two have the long seat

Two have the round seat!
I built one of each seat with the lid up in honor of my wife as she sometimes complains about my aim!
HAHAHHAH!

Overall, these was a blast to build and I really enjoyed them as a nice break from everything else and the price is fair for 4 of them! Oddly, I am building up my old west town in reverse order! I think I may be able to slip these into other games like Strange Aeons and Bolt Action as both eras also no doubt had a demand for places to go to the bathroom!

More Germans done!

Been polishing off some odd and end stuff while waiting for my shipment to arrive. I knew I would get sucked into it quickly with the evil temptations of new toys. I just finished basing these tonight and ready to hit the table!

My second MMG for the Heer

Spotter for the sniper

Sniper and Spotter together!

Warlord goodies arrives!

On Thursday UPS dropped off a nice package, I had some backlog of funds and used them to pick up a few items to boost up my scenery as well as my French and German armies!

The order

4Ground Thunder Boxes

Sarissa Chateau

Box says it all....

Belgian AT Team (for my French)

R40 Tank

Howing Cow

Medium Mortar - French

Light Artillery - French (The crew was for my other guns, the gun will go to the Germans as I am lacking some lighter guns).

French Squad

French Command Blister with a few extra men.

French Insignia
French Numbers and Names

French Card Markings

The ole standard German symbol.

Not part of the Warlord shipment was my S15 Portee Truck by Mad Bob arrived the same day!

Horch Heavy Car

Panzerwerfer 42!

Scwinnwagon!

233 8-Rad with light howitzer

Order was missing a few items: small V bar for the 233, a transfer sheet of red numbers and my wrecked Hanomag. Nothing major....been playing the past few days getting things done!

A New Gaming Shirt!

My friend Chris just returned from a cruise and as thanks for checking up on his kitty cat he brought me back a cool shirt! Perfect for gaming!

Review: BT-42 by TrenchWorx

Another choice item to bolster my Finnish Army! The BT-42, while not steller in history books in Bolt Action this seems to be an ideal tank for the price and what it delivers!

This kit is a 3-D printer made take and is hollow. Still, it was easy to assemble and looks good. Everything again was pretty much, cut, clean a little, glue and done! Everything is slotted and easy to figure out! Another fine kit!

The kit...

Ring goes into the turret.

Then you can drop it into the hull when you are ready.

Panels just slot in....

Holes guide you and match up to where everything goes.

Rails, lights and guides for the tracks.

Finished BT42.

BT42 next to the T26 dual MMG tank by Army Group North.

Review: FT-17 by TrenchWorx

Today I got a package that I ordered that included the new resin FT-17 tank, Rabid Monkey on the Bolt Action Net forums has been working to start casting his laser print items to get them down in price and who was I to say no to jumping on board to get perhaps one of the most fun little guys in the French armored force!

Overall, the kit was fairly easy and did take some time to file some areas and clean the intake spots for the magnets. Still, cleaning and assembly was quick and easy. A great job by Rabid Monkey! I'd say Trenchworx delivers a quality product.

First here is the entire set. Main body, the turret (sitting on the hull in the pic), left and right tracks, exhaust tube, storage  box, magnets, both the cannon and MMG barrels.

Clever slotting makes for quick assembly with glue.

See how they fit and little cleaning except for the tracks to get rid of the flash and spots where the resin was poured and vented.

Turret already has a hole for the magnets.

Same for the barrels. Ready to slide in the magnet. Just a tad of cleaning was required for a perfect fit.

Magnets: 3 small and 2 large for the turret/hull.

Side shot

Another side angle.

Side by side with Mad Bob's AMD80 Armored Car and the P16 by Warlord.

Another shot.

Another side by side.

A tough call: To back or not to back!

Having a tough time here....$178 (with US conversion) could get me a 10 section gladiator arena. I have been wanting something like this for ages....I really like the concept but this is a huge wad of cash to drop also....plus I would have to talk the wife into this for my birthday....technically it would be $148 as I have $30 of unspent hobby money....and there has been some gladiator models in a storage box waiting for an excuse to paint up....plus I could use this for some weird crossover game for Supersystem...never know...still on the other side I could really get more gaming mats or figures which is practical also.

A tough call, looks like a good possible investment choice....the idea they are a new company on KS but they seem to have Ebay presence and their own company website, plus they was upfront about issues they had which it seems they have addressed.

What do you think? I always had a thing for sweaty half naked armored men chasing one another around an arena with swords try to kill one another....
