Project Z - A new game begins!

About two weeks ago I got my copy of Project Z and dove right in. I wanted to give myself some time to read the rules, think about the models and start scrambling to get scenery done!

The box.

Box contents.

Weapons chart...now updated.  Downloads of updates are on Warlord's site.

The dice.

Punch out tokens.

Bonus dogs - They work with any faction, the unit card included.

The dogs and card.

Special Operations Team

Sprue, cards and rule book specific for this new faction.

Motorbike gang

Sprues and cards,

Need more surviors?

Sprues and cards!

Male Survivors

Sprues with cards.

I plan to cover the game more, talk about the gangs I built up and look at the game as a whole and giving the game a whirl both solo and with friends.

Hobby Lobby Finds!

I love Hobby Lobby! You can find some wonderful finds here,

Bag of barrels, just a few bucks and great for quick and cheap scenery.

How was I able to do my hobby for so long without this is amazing stuff. Like sand and paste in a mix, use a 40% off coupon and it offsets the price and makes basing easy.

Storage cases, small but nice to keep counters and small parts collected in.

Barrels out of the bag, washed them with brown ink, then hit the bands with silver. Quick paint and looks great!

Bag of large discs (6), nice just paint and add trees for quick tree bases.

Crescent Root Terrain Review!

My box with a few buildings I ordered from Crescent Root arrived on Wednesday and all I can say is Wow! This company does top shelf stuff, perhaps better than 4Ground even that has done some very nice items...

I would like to say they were dead on the estimated time to ship and shipped it priority mail which is a plus for me, I want my toys sooner than later! Their customer services was great as I asked questions and was given a prompt response within a reasonable period of time, that is a huge mark of respect for me to have excellent customer relations and service.....

The box....

A box in a box! Sounds like Dr Seuss!

Packing was A+, I removed the padding already...

One of their new two part buildings...

Another..

creative packing

Inside detail

yes the door opens and closes

A majority of the doors are mounted with a medical type tape, hard to see but seems to hold well and holds the door in place well as I was playing around with it.

Another....of the two part kit....it has two fence areas that merge them together...

The other building...

Another shot....the other side has a double door you will see later....

The side of a two level merged building.....

The inside of the side building...

The other building before the floor is added...

The outside...

Detail is a trademark, bullet holes, posters and cracks...

The back half where the other building touches and creates an alley with two walls with the kit.

Together...

The walls on the back side, I was playing around they have a great view on Crescent Root Website....this was a huge selling point for me.....

Second floor...ladies wear and coats!

The font of the garage...

The back of the garage....

Sides....

Assembled....

Other side....

inside loft....

The larger buildings are held together with pins for ease of assembly and breakdown for storage. The parts are very snug when you get them, I had to file mine down slightly and use a drill bit to lean the holes to make the pins drop all the way, once they were adjusted this baby is good as gold!

The buildings together with the fence....nice right? Soon to be released.

Aerial shot..

Another....

Another high shot....

Again what is nice about Crescent Root vs 4Ground (as they both come prepainted) is that simply all the work is done for you and you just open the box and setup the scenery to enjoy. Yea, I had to adjust the one bit of scenery but that was nothing but a quick moment of work. Plus they go the extra mile with an eye for detail as well. Price wise they are on par with 4Ground and you save a few bucks buying the sets....plus their WW2 city set has streets and other goodness to add even more to your game. I admit I love to assemble and paint, but sometimes it just feels good to open a box and go, damm that looks good and I didn't have to do s***!

Check them out! Give them some business! Support great companies like this!
