The Awesomes New Hulu Series

If you are a fan of super heroes, wow this series is a scream! It is a Hulu  Original series that is just packed full of jokes, adult content and just some funny stuff....it is well worth the watch! Plus at the end they are plugging Jack Links snacks....they remind me of the animated version of the Hostess Fruit Pies ads in the back of comic books!

The overview: Proc (a mix of Professor and Doc) is the son of  Mr Awesome a superman rip off character that has been a hero for 70 years and is hanging up his cape to retire. His team disbands and his son tries to pick up the torch and make  his father proud. His powers short of being very intelligent is the ability to stop time that he is told is bad for his health, thus making him a second stringer hero along with him oafish friend Muscle Man that goes out to recruit a new team to maintain government funding (think Avengers) where he recruits a team of misfits including Sumo (an 11 year old that turns into a Super Sumo when angry), a former original Awesome that is 80 years old but has the body of a 25 year old due to a freak accident called Gadget Girl, Hotwire the untrustworthy new recruit that Proc has the hots for, Concierge (not an actual member) but the only support staffer with a super mind to keep things organized, a black hero from Imperserio that creates things with his mind with his mother's face on them (he's a mama's boy) and Frantic a super speedster that is hyper active, a red neck and dumb as dirt......their adventures takes them into a variety of humorous adventures!

If you have not been watching this and you are a super hero fan, SHAME ON YOU! This has been a rather interesting twist on the Green Arrow comic book character adapted for television. Hulu still has most episodes for free and well worth a watch if you have not been keeping up.

So far my only disappointment is the death (or maybe not) of one of the villains in the series. Still, it is cool to see some old faces from the the comics pop up as villains like Deadshot, Deathstroke and the Royal Flush Gang!

I keep fighting the urge to paint my archer figure green!

New Post Apocalyptic Series: Revolution

Wow, found a sleeper on NBC while checking out things on Hulu called Revolution. This new Post Apocalyptic Series is about when all the power on Earth just tops and the world is dropped into chaos.

The story tends to flashback 15 years at some spots to give you background of events that happened then and how they are shaping the now. In this future, humanity has fallen into anarchy and militias and thugs rule most everything. The story tends to focus on one militia called the Monroe Republic that is run by a self styled dictator and former military Sergent that has seized power. There is also a small rebellion of "patriots" that seek to bring back the lawful system and justice between a plot of a sister trying to rescue her brother after he is taken by the Militia because their father perhaps knows how to restore power back which would be a valuable thing to someone that is insane with power.

I don't care to spoil it for you but the story is well done and I have to say from a hobby point WOW! There is some damm cool ideas here like vine covered Ferris wheel, a church half sunk in the middle of a lake and vine covered rail road cars to name a few things. Simply stunning background, I may go back to write down ideas later to come up with scenery projects.

Check it out! So far, there is just two episodes! I hope this stays on for a few seasons! PLEASE!

NBC could use a boost to their lineup....

Some people are not liking the idea that "technology shut down" but well, if you don't have it to tell you what happened, you are in the dark eh?

Sounds interesting...nothing really good since Jericho, Jeremiah and Walking Dead. Walking Dead seems to be fizzing out quickly. I really liked Jeremiah and Jericho was good but only watched most of the first season only and the start of the second.
