Senegalese done!

Well, last week I touched up the second box of Senegalese after my first box was done shortly after release. I have 19 in total, one LMG broke which when I asked for a replacement Warlord was kind and sent a full box, that is customer service.Reminds me of the old GW days where they took care of their customers and made them feel valued. I love that....

As for a quick review....
Hates: Soft/small weapons, that is why an LMG was damaged it was bent like a U and barely attached, snapped right off. The rifles are thin so be careful with them. I am also disappointed there was no pistol option or any of the figures with enough room to cut a hand off for a pistol without holding a rifle, all the rifles are at some point molded into the body and would require some severe work to alter.

Likes: Senegalese, nuff said there! I love tough fighters and regular, cheap and useful. Lots of character and plenty of detail on the figs.

About time! Warlord releasing WW2 Senegalese Tirailleurs

Yep, Warlord dropped a 12 days of Christmas teaser saying there is a run of new French goodness which to me this has been one of the long overdue! Nobody made Senegalese Tirailleurs and I for one have been starving for them to enter my French Army, I was so desperate I was about to order WW1 figs to use! Now instead I get a cool boxed set with an SMG, LMG and Grenade Launcher! Whoo!


Can't wait to order two packs! Looks like 10 to a box based on the images shown...images are from Warlord Games!

Overall, these have been a blast to paint as each figure Volkstrum and Hitler Youth were all to me individual models with lots of character. I tried to vary my colors and yet keep a theme to them of a rag tag last Levy defenders. I am looking forward to throwing these children, old, infirm, women, injured soldiers and misfits that could not qualify for military service to the battlefield to test their mettle!
