Some WW2 Finnish done!

Finished off a few more models that was stacked up on the painting table waiting to be finished. I already have a huge lot of Finns painted up so, these are nothing ATM, but it clears way for me to focus on other items that I need to get done like support guns, crew, ski troops and a sleigh.

Shots of the Bolt Action Tournament at Battlezone (Jan 31st)

Well, the Tampa crew loaded up and headed over to Battlezone to do battle at their kickoff Bolt Action tournament at their new store in the mall in Seabring FL....a very nice upgrade from the old mower shop (yes, a lawn mower repair shop and gaming store in old downtown)....while the other place had charm this had a nicer location and space. Chris and William joined me on this road trip of adventure, both of them brought US Marines while I pulled out my Finnish to finally get some game time in with! I always end up running and overseeing more than playing of late and I miss that, plus I get rusty on the ole rules also!

In the end Chris took first, I took second and everyone had an amazing set of 3 games. I played Ed, John and Ryan in my three games and we had gents from all over including Ft Myers, Sarasota as well as locals at Battlezone.

A good warm up for Crucible IV!

We were I think just about 50/50 on Axis and Allied...

More Fins Finished!

Say that 5 times fast! Finally rolled a few more Fins out, still have a large pile sitting on the WIP tray but slowly going down. Oddly, the models are growing faster than I can paint!

Need to touch up the bases again and get the snow that is hanging around the edge but no biggie right now. It is for those lazy nights I don't do anything else.

Hilter Youth defends their home!

Overall, these have been a blast to paint as each figure Volkstrum and Hitler Youth were all to me individual models with lots of character. I tried to vary my colors and yet keep a theme to them of a rag tag last Levy defenders. I am looking forward to throwing these children, old, infirm, women, injured soldiers and misfits that could not qualify for military service to the battlefield to test their mettle!
