A great find today!

On my hunt to find a snapping turtle for This is Not a Test, I haunted Toys'R'Us and found this gem that I snagged up that was marked clearance and the last one.

The box.

The truck loaded up with several of my cars.

A Strange Aeons fig next to the truck to show scale.

I have been wanting a semi truck of some type, so this car carrier fit the bill for something different to add to the table for games for Project Z and Supersystem. I admit I would love to find a scale bus but that won't happen. oh well, this was a mere $15 and my average price of $3-5 for cars from Dollar General and CVS this to me worked out to be a fair deal.

There are two more sets, one is a cool fire/rescue set that has a nice ladder truck, a fire engine, a police swat van, a police car and some other assorted items. The other set is a construction set, but some of the vehicles in the set are a tad out of scale, thus  not making it a value compared to the other set. I figure both will be purchased in the future.

Great Scenery from CVS!

Well, swung into a CVS in Chicago during my visit there and found a cool taxi cab on a collectible toy car display. Later I swung into another and found a nifty ambulance that I also wanted to add to my table for super heroes and zombie apocalypse gaming.

Doors open.

The inside of the ambulance is detailed.

Hobby Lobby Finds!

I love Hobby Lobby! You can find some wonderful finds here,

Bag of barrels, just a few bucks and great for quick and cheap scenery.

How was I able to do my hobby for so long without this is amazing stuff. Like sand and paste in a mix, use a 40% off coupon and it offsets the price and makes basing easy.

Storage cases, small but nice to keep counters and small parts collected in.

Barrels out of the bag, washed them with brown ink, then hit the bands with silver. Quick paint and looks great!

Bag of large discs (6), nice just paint and add trees for quick tree bases.

Finished up another German Squad and Scenery WIP

Finished up a squad of rifle based Germans that I could use a few extra as some various unit options. So, they have been laying around for months, now and I had an unfinished scenery item that needed to be done.

My new squad of Germans with rifles.

I had an old Fantasy movement base. I added some sheep, I plan to add either some more or some rocks and trees to add some depth to the scenery.

4Ground Furniture

Finished most of my 4Ground Furniture...

Single and Double Bed - easy to assemble, a bit plain, I may paint the tops and use some green stuff to make pillows to glue on.

Table, the legs are a bit fiddly to put on but otherwise a nice bit of MDF. The instructions also has a few prints you can cut out to make it into a card table with green felt, chips and cards on top.

Piano, loved this went together easy. The instructions labeled a few things wrong.

L Shaped counter - easy assembly, the middle join did require some glue to ensure a more solid join and remove some spacing in the joins.

Cupboard, easy to assemble, looks nice.

Fireplace, a snap to do, a bit dark but it works well in a building.

Chairs - was a POS - There is no joins or grooves to line up the legs with the lower brackets. Fiddly bits that made me scream. If you are younger, have stead hands and such you will have no problem. If you are an older gent like me and not too steady in the hand, be warned.

My hands have not been idle!

Well, I have been lazy posting but I think the break did me some good. I had time to work on some various projects that I wanted to get caught up on and also a wave of Kickstarter goodies arrived!

On with the show!

To start the show, my Pool House by Impudent Mortal.
Just primered it today and will need another round, but the
Black Mask gang is ready to move in already!

My new entry into mini gaming, Batman.

Another angle. This will be an ideal spot for Supersystem or Batman games as well as Judge Dredd,

Another angle.

A final shot, I have to glue some items in and paint the pool as well as peel the protective paper off the windows and doors as well as paint the garage doors.

Next round is a stable by Impudent Mortal. I fought as to what color to paint it so I opted with the oxide red and the trim will be in white.

Side shot.

Stables, I plan to add some straw to add to the detail also. This will be nice for a variety of games from WW2, Strange Aeons and perhaps even Supersystem or Batman,

The Black Mask gang checks the stalls to find a good bet at the next race!

Warehouse by Impudent Mortal. Going to keep the colors limited and keep it on hand for both WW2, SuperSystem, Batman and perhaps even Judge Dredd.

Rendera Church....going into Strange Aeons as a defiled church

Riverboat by Angry Mojo. Again, going with a simple color choice but doing some extras to make it nice. This will no doubt find its way into STrange Aeons.

I added windows.

The Black Mask gang scopes out the gambling options to cut in on.

Tank Factory by Sarissa. Just have some painting to finish up and also I wanted to build some extras to go inside like some Soviet Tanks in progress.

Billboards from my Kickstarter by Impudent Mortal.

Garbage skips by Impudent Mortal. I plan to fill these with junk and trash.

One of the sewer lids.

Smaller garbage dumpsters.

Small barricades.

Large barricades.
New city buildings by Angry Mojo. The Black Mask gang are checking out the new buildings. They just got a coat of primer and a quick second color spray. I plan to detail the inside and add some windows to the building for more detail.

Tossed the billboards on the buildings to show how two companies stuff mix.
