Bolt Action Tournament at Paladin Games

May 14th, yea a week late posting but it has been a busy week. Chris and I did a road trip over to Paladin Games in Orlando and had a blast throwing some dice and blowing stuff up.

Chris brought his British commandos and I brought along a bizarre German list themed from the Last Levy them.

My first game was against the Soviets with Demolition. The game ended up as a draw as neither of us could gain the upper hand.

The table turn 1.

My second game was against John and his US army. The dice were with him in the end as he was able to take me towards the mid of the game during Top Secret. I was able to sack the unit with the objective but he was able to snag it and take it in for a win.

Advance!

Fire in the hole!

The third game was a standard annihilation game with another loss against Bob.

Bob plots my defeat.

Finished up another German Squad and Scenery WIP

Finished up a squad of rifle based Germans that I could use a few extra as some various unit options. So, they have been laying around for months, now and I had an unfinished scenery item that needed to be done.

My new squad of Germans with rifles.

I had an old Fantasy movement base. I added some sheep, I plan to add either some more or some rocks and trees to add some depth to the scenery.

Land-Wasser-Schlepper lands!

Finally, after 6 months I finally got my Land-Wasser-Schlepper  and my friend Chris got both of his British vehicles. It took several back and forth  messages over Lead Adventures and I finally sent a rather rude email to Jeff to complain. While harsh, there was a great deal of truth, don't leave people sitting in the dark wondering where their product is. Post something up or email them, tell them the status, any issues, etc....isn't the best policy to run a company. Serious, take 5 minutes and post something or email....Jeff does package his product well, has lots of quality, has an amazing selection and great looking product.

The label

All the goodness inside...

Detail of the inside....wow!

Front end...

Cabin with a flag pole...

Anchors away!

Cabin on the main body

10 items of stowage!

Model Review: Pegasus Hobbies V-2 Rocket

Picked up this little gem the other day, it has been floating around on my "to buy" list for some time and with the looming series of demo games I may be doing soon, this would make for a cool item to use as and objective and scenery on tables for future games.

The box cover

Sprue 1

Sprue 2

Sprue 3

Some stickers to add to it....ok this is he bad part of the kit so far!

instructions and a cool historical blurb of what you bought

V-2 assembled in less than an hour. Just a few clips off the sprue, some trim and snapped together!

See the figure here in the above picture to get an idea of scale. The rocket is 1:48  which works well with 28mm gaming scale for things. Plus on a demo table a huge rocket is going to get attention!

Two Support Weapons done for Bolt Action!

Two support weapons down and one to go! Just have to finish my FJ PAK40 and all my current support weapons will be done. So, I introduce theNerbelwerfer and the Sig 150mm heavy artillery howitzer! The 150mm us from Die Waffenkammer and I had to add an extra man to the team to make the number correct in the game. The same for the Nerbelwerfer that is from Warlord, oddly they state one more man in the crew than the kit offers!
